About Brian...

Picture
My name is Brian and I have lived in California, Colorado, and Michigan (so far). I love spending my time with my Australian Shepherd Kobe, especially walks in nature at sunrise or sunset. I enjoy hiking in the mountains, adventuring through forests, and diving into the Pacific Ocean and Great Lakes. I am a world traveler and like exploring new places. Sports have always been a big part of my life, particularly playing and coaching volleyball, as well as disc golfing and snowboarding. I am a musician, who plays piano and guitar, as well as a photographer of landscapes, architecture, the night sky, and people. I am a foodie who loves cooking, grilling, and baking.

I see the world through story and narrative, and am an avid reader and movie goer. I have been impacted by connecting with my
Swedish and Scottish Ancestry. I seek to be an Anam Cara for each client: a compassionate companion, a guiding light, and a loving presence on your healing journey. I crave slowing down, and being in present in every moment, often spending a lot in nature. I am a passionate advocate for restorative justice, nonviolent peacemaking, and the decolonization of our lives and worldviews. I am life-affirming, love-centered, and holistic.

In light of all this, my life has been a rollercoaster of ups and a lot of downs. I have learned that the only way out of the pain and darkness is going through it. My purpose is to journey alongside adolescents and emerging adults toward their true self as a holder of sacred space—bringing together integrative therapy, transformative teaching, and inclusive spirituality, to foster wholeness, empowerment, and love.
“Brian has a capacity for compassion and the ability to instill hope that goes beyond his physical presence ... When you are around Brian, you will feel a sense of hope and safety. Brian brings a grounding presence that creates a liminal space of healing where you feel free to bring your full self, emotions, and experience.” Whitney Herrmann, MA, LPC, NCC

Together, we explore not only the impact of pain and trauma but your path forward toward healing, resilience, and growth.
