Do you ever feel like you don't matter? Feel lonely, disconnected and don't know where to turn? Well, YOU MATTER! Let's talk!! I have worked with adolescents and young adults for over 25 years. Oftentimes people who identify outside the "norm" feel like they don't matter - but they do! The world around you is so uncertain at times and can feel unsafe. Perhaps you have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, or bullying, or maybe you just feel marginalized. You need a safe place to talk and work through your concerns. It's exhausting to carry that burden alone. I enjoy working with all ages and specialize in sex and gender related concerns.

Anne offers both tele-therapy and in-person therapy.  She works with individuals, adults, couples, and groups. I have experience working with adolescents, young adults and adults who identify as transgender, non-binary, or genderqueer, and youth and adults who identify anywhere along the LGBTQIA+ spectrum. I am trained in EMDR, CBT, and motivational interviewing, Polyvagal Theory (PVT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I hold a Certificate in Sex Therapy from the University of Michigan Sexual Health Certificate Program. As a trauma-informed therapist, I approach therapy with a deep understanding of how trauma impacts individuals, focusing on safety, trust, and empowering clients to heal at their own pace, rather than solely focusing on pathology.

I look forward to talking with you soon!

"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."

You feel burdened and weighed down by the constant changes, endless responsibilities, and unfulfilled expectations of adulting. The instability of growing up has you feeling anxious, depressed, and overwhelmed, like you can’t catch your breath because you are behind everyone else who seems to have it all together. You feel disconnected and alone, wishing you just had someone to talk to; someone who would really listen. If you're unsure of where to turn, know this: you matter and you don't have to go through this alone. Brian specializes in supporting individuals like you through adolescence (10-18) and emerging adulthood (18-30s).

Brian believes you are the expert on your own life and you hold the capacity for healing within yourself. Brian's role is to help you access that by integrating different approaches centered on your needs and goals. Whether you're navigating a life transition, processing trauma, or building resilience in the face of adversity, His goal is to help you not just survive but thrive. His virtual office is a place where you can bring all parts of yourself, for they are all welcome here.

Brian supports young folks like you through adolescence and emerging adulthood as you:
  • explore significant questions, process deep wounds, and begin to live your own story
  • forge your identity, purpose, and community
  • learn to shoulder never ending expectations and the pressure to be perfect, please others, and perform at all costs, especially as an athlete, student, employee, etc.
  • construct a path to sustainable service on the front lines by increasing distress tolerance, processing the unique weight of your role so you can do the job you love without losing yourself to it, and addressing burnout, compassion fatigue, and vicarious trauma
  • recover from religious trauma while navigating shifting worldviews and spiritual exploration
If you’re ready to explore your path, embrace your story, and create a life that truly feels like yours, Brian would be honored to walk alongside you.

Brian is inclusive and affirming of the entire human spectrum and would love to connect with you!

As Howard Thurman said, we must “hear the sound of the genuine” within, learning to hear, heed, and honor the inner voice of our authentic self.

Are you carrying pain that feels heavy, complicated, or long overdue for care? Maybe you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, identity questions, family conflict, recovery, or the pressure of expectations that never seem to let up. You might be trying to support your child or teen through something you don’t have a roadmap for. You might be seeking a space where your LGBTQIA+ identity is affirmed without hesitation. You might be a survivor who has spent years in survival mode, or someone facing systems that have made you feel unseen, unheard, or misunderstood.

Meggan is a Limited License Master Social Worker who has spent the last 12 years walking alongside survivors and children of domestic and sexual violence, and more recently supporting individuals navigating the recovery process. She understands that reaching out for support is an act of courage and that healing happens best in relationships where you feel safe, respected, and genuinely heard.
